A Vida Agent can communicate across voice, text, email, and chat, use connected functions and applications, and delegate operational work to a Computer Agent. Start by defining one measurable workflow, then add only the capabilities it needs.

Setting up your Agent

Open your Agent and select Edit Agent in the left navigation. Changes remain in the editable configuration until you test and publish them.

Agent options

Configure these areas together rather than treating them as independent settings:
  • Instructions: Define the Agent’s role, workflow, boundaries, escalation rules, and success criteria.
  • Configuration: Edit, test, save, and publish your Agent.
  • Intelligence: Choose how your Agent thinks and responds.
  • Functions: Add defined actions such as scheduling, transfers, messages, payments, or Computer work.
  • Links: Give the Agent approved web and document knowledge.
  • Voice: Choose from a variety of AI TTS voices to best represent your brand and communicate effectively.
  • Greeting: Define how the Agent starts a call or chat.
  • Language: Select the language your agent should understand and respond in, with options including English and Spanish.
  • Contacts: Give the Agent customer context and support ongoing contact-centered work.
  • Apps: Connect external services and make them available to your Agent.

Workflow examples

Use these examples as starting points. Adapt the instructions, systems, approval boundaries, and success metrics to the real workflow rather than copying a generic persona.
  • Restaurants & Food: Manage reservations, orders, and customer inquiries seamlessly.
  • Retail: Provide product information, handle queries, and improve customer service.
  • Home Services: Schedule appointments, handle service requests, and more.
  • Professional Services: Automate client interactions, bookings, and follow-ups.
  • Beauty & Salon: Manage appointments and client interactions efficiently.
  • Logistics & Warehouse: Streamline operations with automated responses and updates.

Need your Agent to complete work?

A Computer Agent can use connected services, browser workflows, files, and tools to complete operational work. A conversational Agent can also delegate approved work to a Computer Agent while it continues helping the customer.

Enable SMS

Using application-to-person SMS on US carrier networks requires business and use-case registration. See Enable SMS for the setup process.

Test and publish

Test the successful path, missing-information path, escalation path, and every external side effect. Then follow the publishing guide to make the verified configuration live. For a complete operational review, use the production launch checklist.
